In Chapter 1, the thing that I will remember most is the page(s) about the Plate Tectonics. What I learned is that Plate Tectonics is an idea used by geologists to describe how land and landforms such as mountains, hills, plateau, and others, are created and positioned throughout the world. Geologists divide the Earth into four major layers. The outer layer, and the one we live on, is the crust. Beneath the crust is the mantle, below the mantle is the outer core, and finally at the center of the Earth is the inner core.

In Chapter 2, the thing that I will remember most is the types of climates in Washington state. What I learned is that there are three distinct climates we have. The first, found in the lowland areas, is called West Coast Marine. The second climate, east of the Cascade Mountains, called Semiarid. The third climate is called the Highlands, found in elevations exceeding 3,000 feet.

In Chapter 3, the thing that I will remember most is the difference between the Coastal Indians and the Plateau Indians. One of the many differences were that the Coastal Indians lived west of the Cascade Mountains and the Plateau Indians lived in Eastern Washington. One of the similaritys between the two tribes were that they both had Shamans, or medical men. Shaman worked with the spirits to try and cure the sick.

Crusades research

I think the best part of my project was the Background because I have a lot of details that I put into that part. I think my casual factors could be better because I think I need to put more detail into it. If  I had to do it over again I think that I would try and learn more about the crusades. What I liked about using Diigo was that if it would have actually worked for me then it would have been a fast way to get information. What I didnt like about Diigo was that it never worked for me and it was very confusing.

I think that my information was the best part of my book because I put a lot of detail and description in the paragraphs. The one thing that I would change is the pictures. I would take a little more time to put smaller details in the drawings. I think Muhammad had a great influence on the people of Arabia and the Islamic religion thrived because of him. Finally, I prefer doing projects like these much more than taking a test. I learn a lot more because I take my time to summarize what exactly happened. I dont really retain the information as well as I would if I made a project.

What I learned this week.

In Social Studies I learned that finding research was harder than i expected.  I didnt have a hard time picking my topic because I have always been interested in Gargoyles. It was hard citing the sources, but I went back to the homepages and finally found all the information. Over all I got all my work done, though. The Wikispaces have been kind of confusing but I figured it out.

1. I did the best at the pictures. Because they really did reflect apon the peom and information. 2. I would add alot more color. Because feel like my drawings werent colored to “pop” out like i wanted them to. 3. The Social Studies book helped me the most because I got all my information, and facts from the book. 4. I would like to tell Mr.T that i had a lot of fun doing this project.
